Pycnogenol - antioxidant
Pycnogenol is an antioxidant that contains proanthcyanidin, which is a flavonoid. Pine bark and grape seed are the sources of this flavonoid, they are extracted from it and both the sources are virtually identical. Pycnogenol is considered 20 times more potent than Vitamin C and 50 times more potent than Vitamin E.
Pycnogenol is powerful and allows cells to regenerate, by rapidly neutralizing free radicals. It is beneficial in various ways. It helps prevent varicose veins and bruising by protecting the capillaries. It helps in the treatment of injuries and joints by acting as a natural anti-inflammatory. Pycnogenol restores skin elasticity and maintains it when it combines with collagen. The flavonoids of pycnogenol are also useful in the prevention of Blood Pressure, swelling of legs due to water retention, diabetic retinopathy and peripheral hemorrhage.
