Impotence Explained
Impotence or Erectile Dysfunction is the inability to have and maintain erection, sufficient for sexual intercourse. For some men they are brief episodes and for others it may become chronic.
Causes of Impotence
Diabetes, nerve disorders, circulatory problems, heart disease; side effects of medications used for B.P., anti-inflammatory drugs, tranquilizers and anti-depressants; low levels or testosterone, hormone, prostrate surgery, excessive use of alcohol and smoking are physical factors. Anxiety, stress and depression are psychological factors.

- Regular exercising stimulates sexuality.
- Stop smoking and limit alcohol intake.
- Rather than becoming anxious to achieve orgasm, focus on caressing and kissing.
- Stress and other emotional factors can reduce libido (sexual desire) and the ability to achieve or maintain suitable erection.
