  1. Falling asleep becomes difficult.
  2. Waking earlier than desired and waking frequently during the night.
  3. Mood shifts, drowsiness, fatigue and inability to concentrate.

Home cure for Insomnia

  1. Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol or large quantity of liquids before bedtime.
  2. You can have caffeinated beverages in the morning or early afternoon only.
  3. An hour before retiring to bed, relax.
  4. If you are unable to sleep even after 20 minutes in bed, get up and do something.
  5. Speak out your mind to someone if something is bothering you.
  6. Eating heavy meals in the evening should be avoided.
  7. Maintain a regular schedule of getting up and going to sleep.
  8. Daytime naps are to be avoided, except in few cases.
